The ATS Acoustics Diffuser is a precisely calculated Quadratic Residue Diffuser (QRD) designed to evenly scatter sound energy which eliminates acoustical problems such as comb filtering and flutter echo. Comb filtering and flutter echoes can seriously affect the detail and clarity of the sound in your room. Diffusion is a popular and effective solution used in professional recording studios, listening rooms, and even large auditoriums. Diffusers are most commonly used on the rear wall behind the listening position, but they can also be used at first reflection points on the walls or ceiling. We recommend the diffusers are at least 6 ft away from the listener’s ear to allow space for the even diffusion to take place. Precision cut using CNC computer controlled equipment for engineered audio, hand built using high quality plywood. The 7 well diffuser begins scattering at 325 Hz and offers effective diffusion through 3 kHz for professional studio quality acoustic diffusion. Comes ready to install with natural wood finish, but can be painted, stained, or varnished if desired to match your room decor. Installation is easy with included mounting hardware.
