RARE WW2 NAZI STAMP CELEBRATING HITLER'S MUNICH BEER HALL PUTSCH 20 YEARS EARLIER.... THE EVENT THAT STARTED IT ALL! November 9, 1923 was the day that propelled the NSDAP (National Socialist Workers Party) to the forefront of German politics. That was the date Adolf Hitler made his first grab for power with his infamous Putsch (coup or attempted coup) at the Munich Beer Hall which landed him in the jail cell where he penned "Mein Kampf". This day would forever be enshrined in the minds of the Nazis as the turning point in their ascent to absolute power 10 years later with Hitler's inauguration as Germany's Chancellor in 1933. 20 years later, Nazi Germany was locked in a life and death struggle on the Eastern Front while Allied bombing by the U.S. and Britain were beginning to take their toll on the fatherland. On the 20th Anniversary of the Putsch, the Nazis issued this (for them) deeply nostalgic and patriotic stamp in memory of its early glory days. It shows a determined young Nazi "brown shirt" with windswept hair carrying a Nazi flag and carries the inscription "Ihr Habt Doch Gesiegt" (And Yet Still You Triumphed"). The Nazi eagle and swastika appear above this motto. The stamp remains in perfect Mint Never Hinged Fully Gummed condition. An amazing original Third Reich collectible!!!
